I know those little moments matter, when you look over at your kid doing something and your heart just feels full, when you're looking at your teenager remembering all the past versions of themselves in that one instant, when you’re hand is on your tummy feeling a kick knowing you're on the threshold of everything changing. Those small moments have such power to make us just stand completely still, as if moving might make them pass us by even faster. When working with families, I've trained myself to look for these moments and capture them, so that no matter how quickly time passes, you’ll never forget how it felt.

Most of my families tell me they've never had professional photos taken before, and that’s more than normal and okay. It’s not your job to know what to do; it’s just your job to be present, soak in your day, and show up as yourselves. Leave the rest to me.

I offer detailed outfit coordination support, including a style guide, photo inspiration, and personal shopper support. You just let me know what level of support you’d like, and I'm just always a text away if you need my opinion on anything.

what makes these sessions different
Unlike traditional portrait photography sessions, I don't believe meaningful moments should be constrained by a strict timeline. Rather than watching the clock and rushing through a checklist, I want you to have a session that feels more like making memories than posing for the camera. Maybe that means wandering a beach a little longer, stopping to watch the sunset, letting your love lead the adventure, or taking time to create something artistic and unique to you.
Memories can’t be forced into a timeline; that’s why I don’t have a fixed time limit on my sessions, because your moments deserve to be fully captured at their own pace.
I believe the best photographs happen when you stop thinking about the camera and how to pose and start focusing on the people and moments that matter most.
When your day is planned as an experience of spending time with people you love, posing becomes a bit less daunting. Knowing you can just be in the moment with your loved ones, really changes not only how you experience photography but also the images you receive at the end. That said, I’ll provide as much direction as you need. I always include natural prompts, ideas, and guidance to help you feel comfortable without forcing you out of the moment.

When you're ready to book, I'll send over your agreement and invoice. Once your agreement is signed and payment is completed, your session is officially reserved, and the planning can begin.

6. Your Family Session Experience
When you arrive, there's no pressure to know what to do; we expect that. We'll spend the first few minutes chatting, settling in, and helping everyone feel comfortable before we ever worry about photographs. Throughout the session, we'll guide you through movement, prompts, and poses that feel natural and authentic to you and your story. By the end, most clients tell me it felt more like spending time with friends than being in front of a camera.
